About the company

Bond Visuals is an Australian software product business based in Sydney, founded by Christopher Bond, focused on developing specialised Power BI custom visuals for project, programme and schedule reporting.

The company addresses a practical problem in project delivery: organisations often have detailed schedule and project data, but the information is difficult to communicate effectively to executives and wider stakeholders. Existing tools are strong at managing schedules, while project reporting often requires additional manual work to turn that information into a clear visual story.

Bond Visuals is building reusable software products that bring richer project visualisation directly into Power BI, reducing the need to manually recreate schedule information in spreadsheets, presentations or static reporting packs.

What we are building

The initial product portfolio consists of four Power BI custom visuals covering timeline visualisation, scenario comparison, dependency analysis and advanced temporal reporting.

The products are being developed as a coherent software portfolio rather than as one-off consulting deliverables. The current engineering programme includes production hardening, automated testing, visual regression testing, beta validation, packaging, deployment and preparation for potential Microsoft certification.

The intended customers are organisations and project professionals that use Power BI for project controls, programme management, infrastructure delivery, transformation and executive reporting.

AI and Google Cloud

AI is a planned product capability and part of the longer-term product roadmap. The current Power BI visuals do not require generative AI to operate; the intention is to use AI where it creates a meaningful additional product capability.

The planned direction is to use AI to complement the visual layer: schedule and project information could be analysed to produce concise narrative insights around milestones, variance, risks, dependencies and other project signals.

Google Cloud and Gemini are being evaluated as potential infrastructure for these capabilities. This creates a clear opportunity to use Google Cloud for AI experimentation, model/API usage, product prototyping and, if validated, future production workloads.

The architecture will be designed so that cloud services are introduced where they provide a measurable product benefit, while the core Power BI visual experience remains efficient, secure and appropriate for enterprise use.

Company stage

Bond Visuals is currently at the product-development and validation stage. Four products have substantial development underway, and the immediate focus is converting that work into reliable, tested and commercially viable software.

Planned milestones include product completion, structured beta testing, production release, customer validation, ongoing product development and assessment for distribution through the Microsoft ecosystem.

Christopher Bond

Founder & Product Lead

Christopher leads product strategy, software development, project-domain research and technical delivery for Bond Visuals. His professional background includes roles in business intelligence, data analysis, project management, project scheduling and technical coordination, alongside broader information technology experience.

He holds a Master of Information Technology from RMIT University. He was awarded the Kmart Group Prize for being the top postgraduate student across RMIT's IT, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence programs and completed the degree with High Distinctions in every subject, including a minor thesis on real-estate route planning. He is the sole founder and currently the sole member of the Bond Visuals team, responsible for product development, technical delivery, validation and business development.
